Description

This 2.5-mile section of the SJRA Main Canal is located west of FM 2100 and north of U.S. 90 beginning at the Lake Houston Pump Station outfall and ending near Golf Club Dr. in Crosby, TX. The project site contains several locations of significant erosion in addition to narrow and low levees throughout the project limits. Improvements will consist of land clearing and grubbing, levee reshaping and raising, shifting the canal alignment, removal of canal debris, headwall extensions to existing box culverts, potential drainage culvert improvements, and fence replacement. These improvements will provide enhanced capacity, flow, access, and drainage to this section of the SJRA Main Canal.
