Project Abstract

 

The Houston D Star Organization is the premier Amateur Radio Organization and home for the latest D-Star information in the Houston Area.

HDS is dedicated to the advancement of the new digital radio technology known as D-Star, developed by the JARL and recently introduced to the 2 meter, 70 cm & 23 cm US amateur bands by ICOM.

What's  New

  • D Star Workshop October 27th @ Red Cross:
     

    You are invited to bring you DStar radio along to a workshop on Sat Oct 27th from 9am onwards. It will be located at the Red Cross at the corner of Kirby and Hwy 59

     

    What we will work through is:

     

    Programming your radio for DStar frequencies in Houston, + analog, + all gateway callsigns

    (we have programs and data files for ID800H, 91AD, ID1)

     

    Practice working simplex and normal repeater operations

    Working crossband on the repeater

    Getting ready for the gateway
