WASTEWATER OPERATORS
The San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) is accepting applications from licensed Wastewater Operators with a Class C Wastewater License and a minimum of two years experience. Pay is commensurate with experience and license level. The SJRA offers an excellent benefit package and licensed operators are paid a license premium incentive for each level of license obtained. Environmental Engineer
Direct and administer environmental compliance and reporting programs of the San Jacinto River Authority's Woodlands Division. Administer an Industrial Pretreatment Program and provide oversight of environmentally related issues, concerns, topics, and projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Provide support to a Technical Services group and to an Operations group, as required. The Technical Services group, which is comprised of professional engineers and other technical staff, plans, develops, and implements water and wastewater infrastructure and facility improvements and rehabilitation. The Operations group provides proper and safe operations, maintenance and repair of the water and wastewater systems in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Environmental Engineering or a related field . Knowledge of field and laboratory procedures and techniques for analysis of water and wastewater samples is a plus. Prior Industrial Pretreatment experience is a plus. Practical working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and database software is required. Working knowledge of Linko software is a plus. This job requires attention to detail, good interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skill, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence.

Purchasing Manager
The San Jacinto River Authority is accepting applications for a Purchasing Manager to develop, implement, and maintain a consistent organization-wide purchasing and procurement process that is compliant with all applicable Texas laws and regulations, as well as Authority Policy. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution and five years of experience as a buyer, purchasing agent, or purchasing manager, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of purchasing laws governing the operation of Texas government entities and practical working knowledge of purchasing and/or accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite are required. Experience in developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures is highly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, or similar mid-range ERP software is a plus. Professional purchasing certification through the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing or Institute of Supply Management is preferred.
