Systems Analyst 2

Summary

The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking a Systems Analyst 2 for the General and Administration Division, located in Conroe, Texas. The Systems Analyst 2 will be responsible for the integration and support of a wide variety of business and technical systems that may include but is not limited to: Dynamics GP, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, and other business applications. This includes documenting functionality and patch releases, as well as design, development, implementation and support of all installed modules. In addition, this position will be responsible for coordinating with appropriate Authority staff to purchase, install and implement new enterprise application software to ensure compatibility with existing software and equipment as well as assure the long term goals of the Authority are met. This position serves as a project leader, with overall responsibility for project implementation. Support includes continual analysis of systems with focus on adding value to all processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field and at least five years of related, post-college experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have a minimum of three years’ experience working with a wide variety of systems. This individual should be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Studio, SharePoint and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Strong emphasis on experience with SharePoint is required.
  •  Project Management Certification is a plus.

SCADA Specialist (PLC)

Summary

The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill the position of SCADA Specialist (PLC). The SCADA Specialist (PLC) will provide Programmable Logic Controller programming and maintenance expertise. This individual will be responsible for planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and modifying PLC programs.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics Technology, or similar specialization from an accredited technical college or demonstrated ability and at least five years of experience in the electronics, PLC, wireless (radio), networking, and/or SCADA technology fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A four-year engineering, computer science, or related science or technology degree is a plus.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley SLC and ControlLogix PLCs, IEC-1131-3 programming, RSLogix 500/5000 software and SCADA/real-time process control systems is highly desirable.

  • Experience configuring networks and network appliances is a plus.

  • Knowledge of computer/control systems including ability to apply digital logic, ability and skill in reading schematics and process & instrumentation diagrams, and ability and skill in diagnosing and repairing equipment problems.

  • Ability to wear self-contained breathing apparatus for confined entry.

  • Position requires driving to various field locations.

  • Ability to utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

  • Ability to use basic electronic mail and meeting scheduling software such as Microsoft Outlook, spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, and word processing software such as Microsoft Word.

  • Ability to read and create flow charts.

  • Ability to create working programs based on flow charts, process control narratives, and/or verbal description.

  • Ability to use AutoCAD is highly desirable.

  • Ability to plan, setup, and maintain databases is a plus.

  • Knowledge of current cyber security practices is desirable.

  • Programming in Visual Basic and C a plus.

  • ISA Certified Control System Technician a plus.

  • ISA Certified Automation Professional certificate is a plus.

  • Microsoft or Cisco network certification a plus.
