Engineer IV
The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill the position of Engineer IV in The Woodlands Division Office. The Engineer IV will plan, develop and implement water and wastewater infrastructure and facility improvements, administer professional services agreements with third party consultants, and oversee the development and administration of construction contracts.
A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program in the United States or equivalent approved by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, a minimum of five years of practical experience in the planning, permitting, engineering, design, construction, repair, and rehabilitation of water and wastewater systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience with increasing management responsibilities is preferred. Experience and working knowledge of wastewater treatment facilities is a plus. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Texas is required.
Practical working knowledge of all Microsoft Office, database and AutoCAD is preferred. This job requires attention to detail and good interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills.

WASTEWATER OPERATOR 1
The San Jacinto River Authority, (SJRA), is accepting applications for an entry level Wastewater Operator 1 position with a TCEQ Class D certification or the ability to obtain a TCEQ Class D certification within 6 months. Information Technology Technician 2
The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill the position of Information Technology Technician 2 to perform computer equipment repair, deployment, software installation, remediation, and general user support. The work involves installing, maintaining, and repairing computer and data communications equipment throughout the Authority’s network. The individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and arranging for and overseeing outside repairs as necessary.
An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. SCADA Manager
The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill the position of SCADA Manager who will lead, plan, coordinate, organize, direct and manage the activities of the SCADA Department to meet the needs of SJRA’s Highlands, Lake Conroe, The Woodlands, and Ground Water Reduction (GRP) operating divisions (“Operating Divisions”) and organization goals and objectives. The Woodlands Division operates and maintains wholesale water and wastewater facilities serving eleven (11) municipal utility districts in The Woodlands, Montgomery County, Texas. The Highlands Division operates and maintains a raw water pumping facility, canal system and off-channel reservoir that provides raw surface water to a variety of industrial, municipal and agricultural customers in east Harris County. The Lake Conroe Division operates and maintains the Lake Conroe Dam near Conroe, Texas. The GRP Division has recently been established and will ultimately operate and maintain a surface water treatment, storage, pumping and transmission system for Montgomery County.
A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical field with a minimum of 10 plus years practical experience in SCADA/real-time system design, implementation, procurement, construction, installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and capital improvement; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Direct experience with computer hardware and software, programming, system analysis, and telemetry is desired. Direct knowledge of and experience with the operations and maintenance of geographically dispersed water and wastewater utility system(s) is a plus.

GRP Administrator/Division Manager
The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill the position of GRP Administrator/Division Manager. The SJRA will develop and implement a Joint Groundwater Reduction Plan (“GRP”) on behalf of all Large Volume Groundwater Users (“LVGUs”) who have executed the Contract for Groundwater Reduction Planning, Alternative Water Supply, and Related Goods and Services (“ GRP Contract “) with the SJRA. The GRP will include the collective groundwater reduction goals of the LVGUs as established by the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (“LSGCD”) in its District Regulatory Plan Phase IIB (“DRP”). The SJRA will establish a separate Division to implement the GRP including the planning, permitting, design, property acquisition, financing, construction, operations and maintenance of the raw water intake, raw water pump station, surface water treatment plant, finished water storage, finished water pump station, transmission lines, and ancillary facilities.
The GRP Administrator/Division Manager will administer the GRP Contract to assure compliance with the LSGCD rules; implement the GRP, and coordinate with the Review Committee whose role is to advise the SJRA regarding certain matters of the GRP; and lead, plan, coordinate, organize, direct and manage activities of the GRP Division to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.
A Bachelor's degree (B.S., B.A. or other ) from a four-year college or university in public administration, engineering, science, technical or a related field and a minimum of 10 years practical experience in the management of a public works or utilities operations, maintenance, repair, and capital improvements is required. Direct knowledge of and experience with the operations and maintenance of surface water supply systems is highly desired.

Senior Project Manager
The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill the position of Senior Project Manager in the Technical Services Department located in Montgomery County, Texas. The Senior Project Manager will manage and coordinate resources and activities related to planning, permitting, engineering, design, construction, repair and rehabilitation of raw water, potable water and wastewater facilities and systems; and manage and administer professional services agreements with consultants, and traditional and alternative procurement/delivery contracts with contractors. The Senior Project Manager will coordinate closely with the Technical Services Manager, and the management/staff of various operational divisions within the SJRA and management/staff of the various other G&A departments.
A Bachelor's degree (B.S. or other) in engineering from an ABET accredited program in the United States or equivalent approved by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, with fifteen (15) years of practical experience in the planning, permitting, engineering, design, construction, repair and rehabilitation of raw water, potable water and wastewater facilities with increasing management responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Texas is a plus.
