Raw Water Supply Master Plan Stakeholder Group

SJRA is developing a Raw Water Supply Master Plan.  The Plan will refine our standard approach to long-term water supply planning, review long-term raw water supply needs in Montgomery County and east Harris County, and identify project strategies for adding additional raw water supplies to the SJRA’s ownership.  SJRA has created the Stakeholder Group to review the results of this planning effort as it unfolds. The Group includes invited members from Montgomery and Harris Counties representing municipal utilities, industries, regional and local agencies, and engaged citizens.  Material from the scheduled meetings is provided below.

SJRA receives no money from the state, nor does it collect any type of taxes. Income is primarily derived from the sale and distribution of water and treatment of wastewater. This revenue covers the cost of operation and maintenance as well as outstanding debt. Revenue bonds are sold to finance projects.
